Brayden Krous

Head Coach: Brayden Krous

Brayden Krous is the head coach of the Valkyries 14U team.  With 10 years of competitive hockey experience and 3 years behind the bench, Coach Brayden brings a deep understanding of the game both as a player and a leader. Having competed at a high level, he has developed a strong foundation in skill development, teamwork, and game strategy.

Transitioning into coaching, Coach Brayden is passionate about developing well-rounded athletes—focusing not only on technical skills and on-ice performance, but also on discipline, sportsmanship, and confidence.

Drawing from years of firsthand playing experience, he understands what it takes to grow athletes at every stage of their development.

Jamie McLean

Assistant Coach: Jamie McLean

Jamie McLean is entering his third season as a coach with the Valkyries Hockey program, bringing a competitive mindset, strong leadership, and a passion for developing confident, well-rounded athletes.

In his first season with the Valkyries, Jamie led his team to a championship in the Grinders Tournament in Fargo ND, competing against top talent from North Dakota and Minnesota.

Jamie brings a broad coaching background across multiple sports. In addition to hockey, he has coached youth basketball, and led a Legion baseball team to a North Dakota State Championship, giving him valuable experience in building a winning team culture, preparing athletes for high-pressure competition, and developing leadership skills that translate across sports.  Jamie emphasizes accountability, work ethic, and supporting teammates, with a strong focus on growth both on and off the ice.
